At last this is done. I LOVE how this turned out.

This drawing is over a year in the making. Sometimes it takes me years to finish something but I eventually do it. I drew this when visiting my aunt in Georgia last June. One of the best vacations I have ever taken. I LOVE the woods up there and all the pretty creeks and rivers. I do feel very relaxed and peaceful when I am there. I wanted to show this by drawing Scary Fear at peace next to the sound of a babbling brook. But despite him being at peace you see his reflection that he's still and powerful and dangerous being even when he's happy and alone. Here is my ref if anyone wants to see what I was going for.

This is such a serene piece for such a dark character who spreads unease. lol

It's beautiful. I can see why you are so happy with it. His reflection is s menacing. The forest has depth and the light is pretty. I could really see myself doing this. I really could. It's making me miss Georgia.

Fantastic piece, baby! Wonderful!

Aw thanks babes. This was totally me last year. I love the irony of such an evil creature being at such ease with himself and no problems about the things he does. He has no trouble sleeping if he slept. Being at your aunt's house always makes me feel this way.
Thanks.

Nice one! Fear looks so happy and relaxed. I like your depiction of the water.

Thank you. He's definitely quite content. The water was something new for me. I've never used this technique. Not sure if I'll stick with it in a future drawing or not.

I fully expected to see little fishes in that water. It;s so clear! But I fully understand if you don't want to keep it in future drawings. I don't know how much work it was.

This background is so pretty it makes me want to go out into the woods. He looks very happy next to that stream.

Thank you. I thought it would be hard but once I started to fill in with leaves it wasn't so bad. I'm glad you like it. Was definitely inspired by my walks in the woods.

Ah yes I do remember seeing a sneek peek of this early on. This is great. You can definitely tell that Fear is at ease. The lighting is especially good, everything is vibrant and calming. The leaves themselves look nice and seem like they could blow off the screen come the wind, I can see this CG animated. The reflection in the water is a nice touch too.

Ah good glad you remember it. Yeah, it's been too long but glad it's finally finished. I love that Fear does "horrible" things but has no pesky "conscious" to make him feel bad and hesitant. He's kind of like Hannibal Lecter who can relax to classical music after a killing spree, though Fear's more of a metal head. I can see this scene taking place after a bunch of scaring, "I owe myself a vacation." That would be cool. Well I treat almost all my drawings as though they are a scene from a movie or a cartoon. Glad you like his reflection. It's one of the neat aspects of his I love to play with.
